On 2 July 2010 Graystone issued practical completion on Symbio Alliance's new home at Brisbane Technology Park.
From humble beginnings, operating out of 400m2 laboratory in East Brisbane, Symbio now occupies two adjacent premises with a total area of 5,100m2.
Symbio's new 7.2M facility will house one of the largest agrifood testing laboratories in Queensland. The old premises will be used to increase the scope of educational services that Symbio provide as a Registered Training Organisation.

Brisbane Technology Park (BTP) tenant Anteo Diagnostics is trialling its trademarked Mix&Go technology with 25 companies in Japan, Northern Europe and the USA following a lengthy engagement process with the world’s leading pathology and bead businesses.
The ASX listed company expects to grow by 50% in the next year, becoming cash flow positive, and will take on six more research and development employees to handle the work being done for potential clients.

Host Networks will establish itself as a ‘tier three’ data centre on Brisbane Technology Park (BTP) and launch a new cloud hosting business by the end of 2010.
The strategic move to BTP in 2007 saw the company open its multi-million dollar, carrier neutral data centre, expanding its existing network between Brisbane and Sydney with backing from financial services provider Boston One.

The $13.5m high tech, eco building for 20 tenants opening at 88 Brandl Street, Brisbane Technology Park in early 2011 will be Australia’s first example of a new business model and part of a global network of science and technology parks.
Zernike Precincts is a new venture that brings together real estate and commercialisation expertise to build business communities around research and knowledge hubs - such as universities or hospitals - and nurtures them by offering business and investment support.
The global Zernike Group manages six science parks in Europe and Australia, including Brisbane Technology Park, works with 31 finance partners and 90 academic institutes around the world, and administers five investment funds.

After several years of uncertainty surrounding the outlook for commercialisation of new ideas and research in Australia, the future of commercialisation has recovered strongly and is again showing its potential to play a valuable role in national economic development. In the past year, both the University of Queensland and CSIRO have each recognised incoming royalty payments exceeding $100M, for their successful licensing of the cervical cancer vaccine Gardasil and IEEE 802.11 wireless networking technologies respectively. From Monday 12 April a new route will run through Brisbane Technology Park providing a journey opposite the flow of traffic in peak times. This weekday service will run three outbound services from Brisbane City in the morning peak, and three inbound services in the afternoon peak.
It will service the following destinations:
• Griffith University, Nathan Campus
• QEII Hospital (Troughton Road)
• McKechnie Drive, Brisbane Technology Park
• Rochdale High School, Rochedale
• Redeemer Lutheran College, Rochedale.
