South East Queensland’s numerous competitive advantages make it a
successful investment location. As Australia’s fastest growing State,
Queensland is an international crossroad of trade and investment,
particularly for emerging smart industries. Queensland is also the
closest state in Australia to the Asia Pacific region and experiences
strong migration from Asia and Europe. Combined with our low cost base,
world class infrastructure, highly skilled workforce and enviable
lifestyle, Queensland is an attractive investment location.
Queensland
is the low tax state of Australia. It has the lowest state taxation per
person, the lowest rate of payroll tax of any State in Australia and is
the only State to waive financial institution duty. Office rental and
commercial property costs in Queensland are extremely competitive
compared with other Australian and Asia cities. Low average premium
rents are currently only $US100/m2 with the average being $US155/m2.
Department
of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI)is

A significant
advantage that Queensland offers as an investment location is its range
of site and accommodation options. In particular, the Queensland offers
a number of opportunities to locate in technology and business parks,
which offer low-rise campus style accommodation adjacent to either
major transport infrastructure or educational facilities.
